Sarah Windrum is a member of our Warwick and Leamington branch and although being quite new to the group meetings she has quickly become involved in the networking events, workshops and referring other members of the group as well as getting them involved in external events. Sarah brings an energy with her each time I see her and her personality really shines through.
Sarah had been kind enough to donate a 5* holiday to Bulgaria for our awards night to one lucky winner of the game 'heads and tails' which was an incredibly generous offer and we were very excited when this was confirmed.
Sarah has run Emerald Business Communications Ltd, based in Warwick, Warwickshire for just 18 months and you can connect with her on both Facebook and Twitter. She was recently nominated in our 2014 business awards under the Business Growth category. Sarah admits she is in a difficult industry, which is very male dominated and is happy with what she's achieved in the last 18 months and being nominated for this award allowed her to realise that and give her a massive confidence boost especially as she had never entered business awards before.
When we spoke to Sarah we asked her what she thought the judges saw in her nomination form and she said "I was honest and true in the nomination process, I acknowledged the tough act between running a business and juggling motherhood and I'm in an unusual industry"
So how did Sarah feel about being recognised as a finalist? and what did she think of the awards evening? "Amazing! It was a fantastic night and I know everyone says this but it REALLY was such an honour to be a finalist that I felt like a winner regardless!" said Sarah. "I loved it! A fabulous night with lots of amazing people and lots of new businesses to network with"
Sarah plans to keep expanding the business in the future and use Networking Mummies as a way to enhance the services she offer.
