The NEW accreditation helping parents choose safer kids activities.
The UK’s recognised quality mark for parents ‘The Families’ Trustmark’ – Approved Family Friendly (AFF) scheme have teamed up with Networking Mummies , a national networking support group for mums in business, to launch the new national accreditation open to kids clubs and classes to offer peace of mind to parents to help them make a safer choice for their children.
Working mum of 2 and founder Jane Hancox set up the family friendly scheme to easily recognise family friendly holidays. The scheme works with mummy bloggers all around Britain each visiting recommended accommodation, days out and restaurant. Jane found it tough travelling around with the kids in tow finding places that properly catered for her children.
Jane says ‘You just can’t be too careful these days when it comes to safe environments for children. There are so many news stories of people abusing positions of power recently such as the Jimmy Saville scandal. As parents, our team work hard to raise standards for British family tourism so introducing quality checks for clubs and classes seemed a natural progression. ‘
Parents are now recognising the Trustmark all over England, Wales and Ireland with AFF’s campaign for a more family friendly Britain. Approved Family Friendly has a ‘by parents for parents’ ethos and the scheme has been recognised by VisitCornwall and VisitBlackpool with other tourism partnerships to announce.
This accreditation will be open for applications from kids clubs, classes and parent/child activities. Each applicant undergoes a series of rigorous certification checks and references to ensure a credible independent assessment.
Once accreditation is awarded, The Families’ Trustmark logo will be easily spotted for that instant reassurance that the provider has been independently checked.
